Producer and mad man, Louie Bash, throws us full throttle into electronica nostalgia from the early 2000s with Street Fever's new EP Afflictions. These erotic sounds coupled with the undeniably gorgeous and commanding voice of singer/songwriter, Melody English, will have you yearning for more. Listening to Afflictions I am immediately brought back to my prime teenage years (where I spent hours and hours bumping Justice, Junior Boys, Felix Da Housecat, Ladytron, Boyz Noise, Mount Sims and more) discovering my own unique tastes for electronica and techno music and being a wild child. I have been longing for the resurgence of this darkwave disco, and Bash has brought the heat in full form. Did I mention he is also responsible for all of the visuals? Bash is not only creating a distinct voice for himself, he is also reshaping the way we see music. His vision is somewhat a dark, twisted, sexual fantasy, essentially ear porn.
